CREate a project on bold
a. To create a new project, log in and under Project Management in the left-hand column click New Project.
b. The Project Title should be meaningful to facilitate easy recall later (e.g., “Moths of the Olympic Peninsula”).
c. The Project Code is a short form of the title (3–5 letters, e.g., “LOP”) and forms the basis of Process IDs.
d. Select COI-5P—Cytochrome Oxidase subunit 1 5' Region as Primary Marker.
e. Add a brief Project Description. This can be the Project Title and Project Code.
f. All other options can be left as default. More details of these other options can be found in the BOLD handbook.
g. At the bottom of the form you can Assign Users of the project and select the type of access they will have.
h. Save the new project.
i. Each project can initially hold 999 records. If you will be submitting more than 999 specimens, create additional projects. Later the data can be merged into a single project.
